SCAPE were appointed by the Department for Education (DfE) to transform the external spaces at the former HMV Vinyl Factory, now Global Academy in Hayes.
SCAPE were the preferred London building contractors for this scheme following a competitive tender. Working under a Two Stage Design & Build contract, SCAPE engaged specialist Landscape Architects Oobe to create the scheme, which consisted of new recreation spaces, cycle storage areas, car parking and a lay-by. SCAPE worked closely with multiple stakeholders to successfully design the scheme, in keeping with the adjacent development and local planning conditions.
Delivery of the scheme, which included both soft and hard landscaping, alongside Section 278 works, Civil Engineering and lots of tree planting was completed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, in just 12 weeks, delivering on time and in budget.
