PKF Francis Clark

Scape were the successful contractor in a competitive tender for PKF Francis Clark under Gillespie Yunnie Architects. The project was for the fit out of 2 floors in a Grade I listed building within the Royal William Yard in Plymouth. The project featured some beautiful bespoke joinery designs and there were historic features from the former naval warehouse that remain in place. Some of the challenges we faced were the Grade I building restrictions, this made some standard construction practices difficult. We had to produce alternative solutions to complete the works without compromising on the design or the finish of the end product as this was sensitive to both the Architect and the local businesses where the design is carried throughout. We engaged with local contractors as they were experienced within this setting and provided valuable information that assisted us with completing on time.
