SCAPE were instructed by the landlord and the landlord’s project manager, Vail Williams, to carry out a Cat A refurbishment of the 2nd floor and the entire staircase of this multi-tenanted building in Ocean Village, Southampton. The works comprised of a full strip out of the existing Cat B fit-out including blockwalls, raised access floor, air conditioning, ceilings and flooring. The new Cat A works required a new VRF air conditioning system with alterations to the existing fresh air supplies, new raised access floors, flooring, ceilings and new LED light panels throughout.
Part of the Cat A fit-out required alterations to the open plan design to incorporate a new tenant fit-out of an incoming tenant. Works to the communal areas were carried out outside of normal hours to enable full use of the staircase during the works to the existing tenants. The entrance area lobby and external works will follow later in 2020.
